Safety tips for safe and happy Diwali - do and don't

Diwali is a festival of happiness and joy, every one share there love to other in various form like distribute sweets, gifts and bursting fireworks. To make this diwali safe and happy, fallow some rule of safety and make yourself secure.

Before start, do this

• Find the open space to burst the crackers.
• Always buy cracker from reputed and reliable manufacturers only
• Keep all the cracker in safe place and make distance from bursting area.
• Wear tight cotton cloth.
• Must wear the shoe or slipper before bursting fire works
• For eyes safety use spectacles.
• Remove combustible and inflammable materials from the roof tops.
• Keep buckets full of water, full of sands near place of where you are bursting crackers.
• Fire Extinguisher is also a good idea to get ready to fight with fire.
• Keep children away from the crackers.
• Burst one cracker at time.
• Use long stick or candle or phooljhari to burst the cracker
• In case of burns, wash the affected area with plenty of cold water, at least 20 minutes and find medical advice.

Don't

• Please do not wear nylon clothes. Cotton cloth and tight fit is good option
• Don't burst the cracker while holding in hand.
• Don't use the matches or lighters for bursting crackers.
• Don't bend over the cracker to burst them.
• Don't not use glass bottles or containers to fire the rockets
• Don't not use the cracker near the inflammable material
• Don't touch the cracker immediately, if they misfired.
• Don't try to burst the cracker again which is fail.
• Don't try to temper the misfired cracker.
• Don't try to apply any cream or ointment or oil immediately after brunt.
